Associated Comments

Your clients can now easily add their name and optionally their email when leaving comments. This feature doesn’t require your clients to log in, making the user experience seamless and efficient.

  • Client-Friendly Login: Name and email details are stored locally, ensuring clients don’t need to repeatedly enter their information.
  • Future Notifications: Soon, clients will have the option to receive email notifications for comment updates or when their feedback is resolved.

  • Quick Navigation: Click on comments in the list to automatically anchor directly to their location on the webpage.
  • Visibility Awareness: Comments linked to hidden elements are clearly marked and appear once the relevant element becomes visible.

Meta Data Capture

Understanding your clients' perspective and troubleshooting bug reports just got easier with built-in metadata collection.

  • Device and Browser Details: Simple Commenter now records client metadata, such as operating system and browser type, clearly indicating if the comment originated from mobile or desktop.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Comments are now properly hidden if their associated element is not visible, preventing annotation markers from becoming stuck.
  • Resolved a responsive layout bug affecting the reply function when screen sizes changed.
